Common questions
Quick answers to the things traders ask most.
How do I trade safely with someone I don't know?
Open a protected trade. The buyer's Ducats are held by ZenGuard and only released to the seller once both sides confirm the in-game handoff — so no one has to go first on trust alone.
What are Ducats?
Ducats are platform credits used inside TradeZen to fund protected trades. They aren't a cash-out or a currency exchange — you can review your balance and history anytime from your wallet.
What happens if a trade goes wrong?
Nothing is released until you confirm the handoff. If the other side doesn't deliver, you can open a dispute instead of confirming, and our team reviews the evidence from both traders to decide a fair outcome.
How is my reputation calculated?
Your standing is built from completed trades and dispute outcomes over time. A stronger reputation lowers the fee you pay on protected trades.
What fee does ZenGuard charge, and who pays it?
The fee is paid by the seller and comes out of the trade amount — the buyer pays the full price, the seller receives the amount minus the fee. Your rate is set by your standing tier (better standing means a lower fee), or by a specific rate staff has set for your account; the default is 2.5%. The fee is rounded down to a whole Ducat, and you'll always see the exact amount and what the seller receives before anyone funds the trade.
How do listings get bumped to the top?
A listing moves back to the top of its board whenever someone replies to it. The seller can also bump it manually once every 2 hours — the Bump button shows a countdown until it's available again.
How do I link my Discord, Battle.net, or console accounts?
Go to Settings and add your handles under Connections. You choose which ones are shared publicly on your profile — they're self-reported, so double-check them before trading.
Someone is breaking the rules — what should I do?
Report the user or thread from the relevant page. Our moderation team reviews reports and takes action on scams, harassment, and rule violations.
